Biography
Avery is a CPA with years of experience serving clients. Having worked for Deloitte, she has participated in and led compliance activities for a number of entities and industries such as:
- Individuals of all income and asset levels
- Multi-state and local tax compliance
- IRS and state tax agency representation
- Operating businesses including hospitality, professional services, retail, and more
- Real estate investments
- Partnerships with special allocations, including waterfall and targeted allocations with focuses on 704(b) and Substantial Economic Effect rules
- Private-equity funds and venture capital
- Family offices
- Business asset and stock acquisitions
- Foreign Bank Account Reporting compliance, and other foreign tax issues such as foreign tax credit, non-resident returns, foreign earned income exclusion, and asset reporting

Avery is not afraid of getting her hands dirty with the Internal Revenue Code. While she cannot promise you won’t pay taxes, she will fight to keep every dollar in your pocket. She truly enjoys what she does from filing returns to maintaining well-balanced books and helping people navigate their finances.
Avery’s commitment to tax equity is rooted deep in her foundational experience in the field. She began volunteering in 2023 with the Center for Great Neighborhoods VITA program. Once in Chicago, she quickly picked up the reigns, volunteering with Ladder Up and being invited to join their Associate’s Board a year later. Now, she has moved to volunteering with the Community Tax Alliance.

Biography
Jade brings their background in Mathematics and Computer Science to Lambda Tax to lead the improvement of select tools used in tax preparation and other services. Their tools create time savings internally, allowing us to serve clients at a faster pace. Their services and tools are also available to certain clients in their course of operations as a way to save their time for bookkeeping and other functions.
Jade strives to make accounting accessible to all by reviewing outgoing educational materials and other features like our organizer – ensuring they are accessible to individuals. They remain heavily involved in political advocacy, mutual aid organizing, and other community-based activities.
